Jackie M. McCreary joined Stone Pigman in 2004 and is a member of the firm. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. McCreary served as law clerk to Judge Frank J. Polozola, U.S. District Court, Middle District of Louisiana. She was admitted to the bar of Louisiana in 2003.
Representative Matters
Representing a major energy company in litigation alleging damage to coastal marshes and claims relating to Hurricane Katrina.
Regularly defends legacy oilfield site lawsuits for major and independent oil and gas companies. Education
She earned her J.D. and B.C.L. from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2003, where she was Articles Editor of the Louisiana Law Review and a member of Phi Delta Phi. She received her undergraduate degrees, cum laude, from Louisiana State University in 2000. Professional and Civic Activities
Ms. McCreary is the firm's Liaison to the New Orleans Pro Bono Project. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association's Access to Justice Committee. She is a Fellow and a member of the Development Committee of the Louisiana Bar Foundation. Ms. McCreary is Co-Chair of the Membership and Diversity Sub-Committee of the Mass Torts Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. She is a member of the New Orleans and Baton Rouge Bar Associations, DRI, the Federal Bar Association, and the New Orleans Bar Association's Inn of Court. She volunteers with the New Orleans Pro Bono Project, Lawyers Helping Homeless Project, and Louisiana Appleseed. Ms. McCreary is the 2011 recipient of the Louisiana State Bar Association's Honorable Michaelle Pitard Wynne Professionalism Award. She has been recognized as a "Rising Star" by Louisiana Super Lawyers magazine.
