Representative Matters
Currently representing second lien lenders group in Legends Gaming Chapter 11 case.

Successfully defended former CEO in bankruptcy court litigation with public company debtor.

Regularly represents owners in construction defect and delay disputes.

Currently representing a public housing agency in various contract disputes.

Successfully represented a national voting system vendor in a public procurement dispute.

Obtained a $2 million arbitration award against a national computer software company for a customer damaged by a failed implementation of ERP software.

Regularly counsels firms and associations on antitrust issues.

Debtor's counsel in the successful Chapter 11 reorganization of a national construction company that resolved over $2 billion in claims and preserved over $100 million in tax credits.

Enforced a national lender's rights to $60 million of equipment lease payments in its borrower's Chapter 11 bankruptcy case; and subsequently assisted the client in collecting payments through litigation and arbitration.

Regularly represents real estate lenders in workouts and foreclosures.

Regularly defends trade creditors against bankruptcy avoidance actions.

Education
Mr. Landis received his law degree from the Tulane University School of Law in 1976, where he was named to the Order of the Coif. He was elected to the Tulane Law Review Board of Editors, 1974-75, and was Associate Editor, 1975-76. Mr. Landis received his undergraduate degree from Washington & Lee University in 1972.

Professional and Civic Activities
Mr. Landis was law clerk to the Honorable Morey L. Sear, U.S. District Court, 1976-77. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the American, Fifth Federal Circuit and New Orleans Bar Associations, and the Sports Lawyers Association. Mr. Landis has been named to The Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA, and Super Lawyers.
