Mr. Farnsworth joined Stone Pigman in 1999 after practicing in Washington, D.C. for three years and is a member of the firm. His practice includes class actions, toxic tort, medical malpractice, and products liability claims, with a particular emphasis on pharmaceutical products. Mr. Farnsworth has experience with complex and multidistrict litigation. He is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts.
Representative Matters
Defending legacy oilfield site lawsuits for major oil and gas companies.
Represents a number of South Louisiana nursing homes in connection with medical malpractice claims.
Defending pharmaceutical manufacturer Purdue Pharma against product liability claims raised in multiple lawsuits across Louisiana concerning the prescription medication OxyContin.
Obtained dismissals of claims filed against Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc. in national consolidated multidistrict litigation involving PPA (phenylpropanolamine).
Representing international energy development company in an appeal before the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal.
Education
Mr. Farnsworth graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 1996 and was named to the Georgetown Law Journal. He graduated cum laude from Duke University in 1992. Professional and Civic Activities
