Ms. Knight joined Stone Pigman in 2003 and is an associate of the firm. She concentrates her practice in commercial litigation and gaming law. Prior to attending law school, she was a paralegal with Talley, Anthony, Hughes & Knight, L.L.C. for fifteen years, where she worked extensively in the defense of a toxic tort class action. She was admitted to the bar of Louisiana in 2003.

Representative Matters
Ongoing representation of a major publicly-traded gaming company and its licensed subsidiaries in regulatory matters before the Louisiana Gaming Control Board and in a wide variety of administrative proceedings and litigation matters.

Defense of an independent oil company in multiple federal court class action property damage suits.

Defense of an independent specialty chemical company in state court mass tort class action through compensatory and punitive damages phases of trial and favorable settlement with the class, with continuing representation as special settlement counsel for the company, certain of its insurers, and a major tank car manufacturer in both the class action and related mass joinder state court litigation.

Defense of a major publicly-traded real estate investment trust in contract dispute arising from long-term lease and operating agreement.

Representation of a major publicly-traded communications company in federal court litigation involving breach of contract and fraud action where plaintiff alleged the destruction of its business and $2 billion in damages plus punitive damages, reaching favorable settlement of claims.

Representation of a multi-state provider of emergency medical services in proceedings before parish council in bid dispute regarding proposed exclusive provider contract.

Education
Ms. Knight obtained her law degree, summa cum laude and first in her class, from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law in 2003. She was Comment Editor of the Loyola Law Review, 2002-03, and a member of Moot Court, the Honor Board, and Phi Delta Phi. Ms. Knight received her undergraduate degree in merchandising, summa cum laude, from Louisiana State University in 1981 and obtained a second degree in Paralegal Studies, with highest honors, from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1989.

Professional and Civic Activities
Ms. Knight serves on the Board of Directors of the Younger Lawyers Division of the Federal Bar Association's New Orleans Chapter and the Board of Directors of the Food Bank of Covington. She is a member of the International Association of Gaming Attorneys; the St. Thomas More Inn of Court; the American, Louisiana State, and New Orleans Bar Associations; Lawyers Helping Homeless; and the Northshore Community Foundation.
