Mr. Walshe joined Stone Pigman in 1995 and is a member of the firm. His litigation practice includes bankruptcy, intellectual property, insurance defense, procurement and public bid disputes, and commercial litigation. He is admitted to practice before the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, all Louisiana federal and state courts and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.

Representative Matters
Representing significant equity holders in New Orleans Paddlewheels bankruptcy reorganization.

Represented co-owners of several affiliated companies in resolution of six year dispute among shareholders.

Represented a public housing agency in a public bid construction dispute in a challenge to a contract for the HVAC (Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning) system at one of the agency's high rises. Successfully defeated the preliminary injunction and then had the damages case dismissed on an exception of no cause of action granted by the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal.

Obtained a judgment on behalf of a creditor against the reorganized debtor and its principal for failing to comply with the bankruptcy plan.

Defended Papa John'sŪ slogan in a false advertisement suit alleging that Papa John's advertising slogan violated the false advertising laws.

Represented a regional bank in a suit to enjoin a national insurance company from using a service mark to identify its variable annuity on grounds that the defendant's mark was confusingly similar to the federally registered service mark used by our client to identify its line of mutual funds.

Defended a major insurance company in a case alleging violations of the Louisiana Insurance Code by collecting installment fees for deferred insurance premium payments.

Education
Mr. Walshe received his law degree from the Louisiana State University School of Law in 1995, where he was selected to the Order of the Coif. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi in 1992.

Professional and Civic Activities
Mr. Walshe is active in the New Orleans Archbishop's Community Appeal, having served as a divisional chair and representative. Since 2004, he has been on the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Children's Museum and served as Treasurer in 2007 and is currently serving as the Vice President of Administration. He has been on the Board of the Academy of the Sacred Heart since 2007. He is serving a one year term on WYES's Board of Trustees. Mr. Walshe is a member of the American, Louisiana State and New Orleans Bar Associations.
