“I was hired fresh out of law school in 1974, long before most firms had even considered the term ‘diversity.’ Throughout my tenure at Stone Pigman, we have attempted to provide to our clients the highest quality legal service. I believe we can best achieve that goal with a diverse group of lawyers and staff. There are many talented minority lawyers and support professionals in the legal community. We owe it to them, our clients and the firm to locate and employ that talent.”

“Professional opportunities for women at Stone Pigman are fairly limitless, and flexible. You can opt in to and out of a more moderate work schedule, or you can run ahead of the crowd. Between 1998 and 1999, in order to be able to have more time with my three young children, I worked on a reduced schedule as a member. One former female member now sits on the federal bench just a few blocks away, while other, more senior female members have developed impressive client lists.”

Diversity

Stone Pigman considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, gender, national origin, religion, creed, age, disability, marital or veteran status, sexual orientation or any other legally protected status.

Stone Pigman is dedicated to maintaining a diverse workplace, recognizing that the firm is enriched, and our clients are benefited, by the diverse backgrounds, styles and personalities of our attorneys. The firm makes every effort to recruit, hire and retain qualified minorities and women. We participate in the Louisiana State Bar Association Minority Job Fair and the Tulane Diversity Clerkship Program, and we recruit minority candidates on an individual basis. We also seek out candidates by hosting receptions, including an annual reception for minority students from the Tulane University School of Law. We are pleased that women comprise more than half of our current associates.
