Special Counsel

Ms. Crowder is a commercial real estate and finance attorney with wide-ranging experience in virtually all aspects of sophisticated real estate transactions. She has experience with a variety of leases and development agreements and regularly advises on private financings, purchase and sales agreements, acquisition and disposition documents, joint ventures, loan sales, workouts, construction contracts and general corporate matters. She has worked with public benefit corporations, developers, private companies, borrowers and lenders on a variety of real estate properties and has experience in the structuring, negotiation and documentation of credit facilities.

Representative Matters

Represented a New Orleans public benefit corporation in connection with the lease to redevelop the World Trade Center building in downtown New Orleans.  Assisted with the preparation of the request for proposals, evaluation of redevelopment and lease bids, and the 99 year lease of the property.

Represented client in connection with restructuring of 99 year lease of an 87 unit apartment building in the French Quarter of New Orleans.

Represented a Louisiana state agency as lender in new markets tax credit and other funding mechanisms transactions for the redevelopment of commercial properties in the Broad Street corridor for Whole Foods and the Oretha Castle Haley corridor for the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra.

Represented numerous lenders in connection with securitized and non-securitized loans, including a $195 million construction loan for the development of an office building in Boston, Massachusetts, a $45 million construction loan for the development of a condominium building in New York, a $126 million securitized multi-property loan in San Francisco and a $100 million revolving credit facility.

Professional and Civic Activities

Ms. Crowder is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and New Orleans Bar Association.  She is a former law clerk for Chief Justice Pascal F. Calogero of the Louisiana State Supreme Court.  She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Alliance Française de La Nouvelle-Orléans.
