David Stone, a lawyer with Stone Pigman for over 40 years, died of pancreatic cancer Tuesday, August 16, 2005. It is with deep regret and sadness that Stone Pigman announces this loss.
August 2, 1939 - August 16, 2005
Son of co-founder Saul Stone, David joined Stone Pigman in 1964. He served many years on the firm's Management Committee, and practiced in a wide variety of areas, including handling both litigation and business law matters involving real estate, corporate, antitrust, and trusts and estates law. He was also a civic leader, accomplished actor, and devoted husband and father.
According to Scott Whittaker, Chairman of Stone Pigman's Business Section, "David Stone's blend of extraordinary intelligence, charm, wit and integrity made him the consummate counselor and advocate. Whether you were his colleague, client, opponent, judge, friend or acquaintance, you could not help but admire and respect him. We were certainly fortunate to have David as one of the primary forces shaping this firm for so many years."
