Susan Talley, Carmelite Bertaut, James Slaton and Dalton Courson Assume Leadership Positions Within the American Bar Association
At the ABA annual meeting earlier this month, Susan Talley was elected Chair-Elect of the American Bar Association's Section of Real Property Trust & Estate Law. Dedicated to real estate and trust and estate law practitioners, law students interested in those practice areas and associated service providers, the RPTE Section has approximately 25,000 members. Ms. Talley’s term will be for one year, after which she will become Chair of the Section.
Carmelite Bertaut was appointed a Division Director of the American Bar Association's Section of Litigation. Ms. Bertaut is responsible for Division III, the division within the Section responsible for CLE and other programing. The Section of Litigation is the largest section within the ABA, with over 50,000 members.
James Slaton was named Chair of the Land Use and Zoning Committee of the American Bar Association's Section of Real Property Trust & Estate Law.
Dalton Courson has been reappointed to serve as Co-Chair of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation LGBT Litigator Committee. He was also appointed to serve as the Section of Litigation’s Liaison to the ABA Commission on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity.
