Stone Pigman Helps Celebrate Louisiana Supreme Court Bicentennial
On Friday, March 1, the justices of the Louisiana Supreme Court presided over the Bicentennial Celebration of the Court. The program included a short play written by Barry Ashe entitled "An Uncommon Birth: Shaping Louisiana's Legal Tradition for Statehood." Mary Dumestre designed and created the costumes for the play, which was presented by students from The International High School of New Orleans. The play was originally performed at the bicentennial celebration of the Eastern District Court of Louisiana, "Tracking Louisiana's Legal Heritage: Celebrating 200 Years of the Federal Courts in Louisiana," on April 12, 2012.
