Mary Dumestre to Serve on Panel Discussion at Upcoming LSBA CLE Program
On April 24, Mary Dumestre will serve on a panel discussion at the upcoming Louisiana State Bar Association's first ever female attorney Continuing Legal Education program titled "SUPERWOMEN…Female Attorneys Challenging the Rules of the Game at Home, at Work, and Alternative Practices". The program will address the unique challenges women face in the legal profession.
During the program, Mary along with two other speakers and a moderator will present on the topic of Running with the Wolves and Big Dogs Without Running Away: Surviving the Practice of Law From the Female Point of View. The panel will focus on how to effectively navigate the political landscape of a law firm or department; evaluate perceived and real differences in treatment, work allocation, socializing because of gender; and consider alternative arrangements within firms and whether they work.
