Carmelite Bertaut and Heather Lonian will Speak at a New Orleans Bar Association CLE Program
Carmelite Bertaut and Heather Lonian will participate in the New Orleans Bar Association Standing Issues in Light of Spokeo CLE Program on September 7, 2016. Following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Spokeo Inc. v. Robins, courts have wrestled with whether plaintiffs whose claims arise from statutory violations have alleged injuries that are sufficiently “concrete” and “particularized” to satisfy standing. This panel will provide an in-depth analysis of the state of the law post-Spokeo and its practical implications for defendants and plaintiffs, particularly in class actions. Additional information about the program can be found here.
