Stone Pigman 2009 Deals Honored

As reported in the Wall Street Journal on December 30, 2009, the sale of the Dominion Tower, the former New Orleans Shopping Centre and the associated New Orleans Centre parking garage made the Wall Street Journal's list as one of the deals of the year for 2009. A company wholly owned by Tom Benson, owner of the New Orleans Saints, purchased the property which keeps the Saints playing in the Superdome through 2025 and locks in the city of New Orleans as host to the 2013 Super Bowl. The Stone Pigman team consisted of John Landis, Susan Talley, Michael Schneider, James Slaton, Heather McGowan, Naomi Reyes and Ellen Lloyd with environmental assistance from Daria Diaz.

As reported in the Times Picayune on February 2, 2010, the October sale of the Windsor Court Hotel received the Deal of the Year award at the 2010 Americas Lodging Investment Summit. The Berger Company of New Orleans teamed up with a local investor and a Dallas based investment firm to purchase the Windsor Court Hotel. This deal put the hotel in local hands again after 20 years. The SPWW team consisted of Michael Schneider, James Slaton and Heather McGowan with tax assistance from John Colbert and Dan Walter.
