Lesli Harris Named to Lawyers of Color's Second Annual Hot List
Lesli Harris has been named to Lawyers of Color's Second Annual Hot List, which recognizes early to mid-career attorneys who are excelling in the legal profession as in-house counsel, government attorneys and law firm associates and partners. Ms. Harris is one of 16 attorneys from Louisiana to appear in the Southwest Region portion of the Hot List. The honorees were chosen through a nominations process and were also identified through bar association publications, legal blogs and noteworthy accomplishments, with special attention given to candidates who were active in diversity pipeline initiatives.
Ms. Harris focuses her practice on intellectual property and entertainment law, representing professional sports teams, a television network, startup companies and a music venue. She is the Co-Chair of the New Orleans Bar Association's Entertainment, Intellectual Property and Technology Law Committee, Co-Chair of the American Bar Association's Intellectual Property Litigation Membership Subcommittee and a member of the Louisiana Association of Black Women Attorneys. Ms. Harris is also the lead contributor for the Fashion and Entertainment Law Guide blog.
Lawyers of Color was established in 2008 to report news to African American legal professionals and promotes the causes and contributions of minority attorneys. It produces a variety of publications, a blog, e-newsletters, events and social media platforms to engage African American legal professionals. The publication has been recognized by the American Bar Association, The National Black Law Students Association and the National Association of Black Journalists.
