Mr. Slaton concentrates his practice in commercial real estate, including land use and zoning matters, finance and corporate and securities law. He joined Stone Pigman in 2004.
Professional and Civic Activities
Mr. Slaton serves as the Vice Chair of the Land Use and Environmental Group of the American Bar Association Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section. He also is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the Louisiana State, Baton Rouge and New Orleans Bar Associations.
Mr. Slaton serves as an Associate Member of the Urban Land Institute where he serves on the Programming Committee for the Baton Rouge, Louisiana Chapter. He is on the Lighthouse Louisiana Board of Directors and is the Chair of its Baton Rouge Advisory Board. He also serves as the Chair of the Center for Planning Excellence Smart Growth Summit Planning Committee.

Mr. Slaton was named to The Best Lawyers in America for his work in the field of real estate law from 2013-2015. New Orleans magazine has recognized him as a Top Lawyer in real estate law and land use and zoning law.
