Annie McBride received the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association President's Award during at its Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon on August 23, 2018. The award recognizes an individual, or group of attorneys, who contribute to community leadership outside the practice of law. Ms. McBride helped plan the Chapter’s very first career day for high school students at Crescent Leadership Academy, in conjunction with Omar Mason. She also led the civics education and landmark cases program, introducing the program to the International High School of New Orleans this past year. Her work with the landmark cases program included the addition of a moot court for the participating students, during which they were able to argue a Fourth Amendment school search issue in front of federal judges at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana courthouse.

The New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association is dedicated to improving the professional lives of members of the federal bench and bar. The New Orleans chapter serves over 1,200 members and is the largest chapter in the national organization.
