Mr. Cochran is the Ex-Officio Chairman of the Foundation for Historical Louisiana. He is the Past President of the Board of Directors of the Charles W. Lamar, Jr. Downtown Baton Rouge YMCA. He serves on the volunteer boards of the St. Francisville Area Foundation and Friends of the Archives Board of Directors, a support non-profit for the Louisiana State Archives. Mr. Cochran is an active member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. He is a co-founder and board member of Baton Rouge Uncorked, a charity organized to raise funds for small non-profit organizations. He frequently speaks on loss prevention.
