Katie DeBlanc concentrates her practice in trusts and estates. She joined Stone Pigman in 2023 after graduating cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she was a member of the Loyola Law Review.
Representative Matters
- Assisting clients in the preparation of wills, from simple wills providing for the outright distribution of assets to more complex wills with one or more trust(s) included to minimize the impact of estate taxes on the family, irrevocable life insurance trusts, revocable trusts, Special Needs Trusts (SNTs), financial and healthcare powers of attorney, living wills and acts of donation and coordinating with counsel across multiple jurisdictions to structure and finalize estate plans.
- Assisting clients with succession matters, including drafting successions pleadings, advising clients about Louisiana succession procedure and coordinating with financial institutions to assist in administration of successions.
- Assisting clients in forming LLCs in Louisiana by preparing the requisite articles of formation and operating agreements.
- Assisting clients in merging Louisiana general partnerships into Louisiana LLCs.
- Advised clients on Corporate Transparency Act compliance.
