Katie DeBlanc and John Myles Join Stone Pigman as Associates

Stone Pigman is pleased to announce that Katherine L. DeBlanc and John W. Myles have joined the firm as associates in its New Orleans office.

“We are eager to welcome Katie and John to the Stone Pigman team,” said Michael Walshe, chairman of Stone Pigman’s Management Committee. “Both of these young lawyers bring unique experiences and insights to the firm, and we are excited to see them thrive in their roles.”

As an associate at Stone Pigman, Katie will primarily handle trusts and estates projects, including drafting wills, acts of donations, and powers of attorney.

A New Orleans native, Katie attended Loyola University New Orleans College of Law where she was a member of the Loyola Law Review. While in school, she worked as a summer associate at Stone Pigman.

“I am excited about the opportunity to see my work turn into tangible results with lasting impacts for clients,” Katie said. "The ability to explore different practice areas and gain exposure to various projects at Stone Pigman has been invaluable. I'm grateful to learn from and work alongside such a talented group of people."

Outside of work, Katie enjoys running, being outdoors, spending time with friends and family, golfing, and occasionally, ballroom dancing.

John will focus his practice primarily on corporate law and real estate transactions.

John graduated from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge where he was a member of the Southern University Law Review, represented Southern University Law Center as a student ambassador, and served on the Board of Student Advisors as a teaching assistant. He gained legal experience as a summer associate for Stone Pigman and clerked for the Orleans Public Defenders and Southeast Louisiana Legal Service.

“Stone Pigman’s wide range of practice areas allow me the opportunity to gain experience in all areas of law as a first-year associate,” said John. “I’m proud to work at a firm with a storied history.”

Outside of the office, Myles likes to spend time with family, travel, seek out smart investments, and mentor his undergraduate fraternity brothers.
