The Effects of COVID-19 on the Real Estate Industry Webinar

On July 23, the Association for Real Property and Infrastructure hosted a webinar for its members on the effects of COVID-19 on the real estate industry.  Susan Talley, Co-Chair of Stone Pigman's Real Estate Practice Group, was a co-panelist and discussed a broad array of legal issues and considerations triggered by COVID-19, including commercial lease concerns, forbearance agreements in the context of CMBS loans and legislative efforts to provide eviction and foreclosure relief.

Bridget Rosewell, a private consultant and a Commissioner for the Independent National Infrastructure Commission of the UK, moderated the webinar.  Andy Martin, CEO of Advisory UK at BNP Paribas Real Estate; Martin Samworth, Chairman, Advisory Services, APAC/EMEA with CBRE; and Donald Sheets, Managing Director of Broadshire Capital Partners and a faculty member of Columbia University and NYU joined as co-panelists to discuss the business challenges caused by COVID-19.  A question and comments portion with 50 ARPI members from the US and the UK concluded the webinar.  ARPI is an association involved with real property and infrastructure in the global marketplace.
