Overview

Katelyn McGibney practices business litigation and insurance defense.  She has assisted independent oil and gas companies in corporate disputes and breach of contract claims.   

Prior to joining Stone Pigman, Katelyn assisted legal teams in medical malpractice claims and disputes involving employment law and maritime matters.  She also gained experience at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Representative Matters

  • Represented an oil and gas company in a multimillion-dollar breach of contract claim.
  • Assisted in defending a major insurance company against various claims alleging bad faith claims handling for hurricane-related damage.
  • Assisted in an arbitration wherein we represented an oil and gas company in a contractual dispute.
  • Assisted in trial preparation for defense of oil and gas company on breach of contract claims.
  • Assisted regulatory practice group in preparation of comments for submission to federal agency.
