Updates on House v. NCAA Federal Court Case
Stone Pigman sports attorney Fritz Metzinger is closely following the House v. NCAA federal court case involving antitrust claims filed by athletes against the NCAA and the Power Conferences (ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC). The proposed settlement will potentially allow Power Conference schools to directly share revenue with athletes for the first time in NCAA history. He has spoken with several media outlets across the state about which athletes qualify for payments, how this will reshape the current Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) landscape, what role the new College Sports Commission will play, and how this may lead to broader revenue-sharing policies.
